A decision guide for athletic administrators
Seven questions to ask before you buy a leadership or character program
Athletic departments would rarely leave physical development to chance. Practice plans, strength programs, film review, performance data. Leadership and character deserve the same intentionality, and most programs are still hoping it emerges.
Includes the Athletic Program Leadership Readiness Scorecard.

Where this guide comes from
You should know who wrote it before you read a word of it
This guide was written by the team behind Battle Tested™ by EDGE™, which sells leadership development for Student-Athletes. Two things were done to make it useful anyway. The seven questions apply to any provider, including this one, and several are questions we have had to answer honestly about our own work. Where our frameworks appear, they are labeled as illustrations of what a specific answer sounds like, not as the only acceptable answer.
A guide that leads to only one conclusion is a brochure. This one is built to help you make a decision, including the decision to do nothing yet.
Score your own department first
Bring it into a provider call. Put it in front of your coaching staff. Then decide.
